Care Home Classes

As a Clinical Exercise Physiologist, I design and lead exercise classes in care homes to help seniors improve strength, balance, fitness, and mobility.

In each class, I guide seniors through a mix of seated, standing, and resistance exercises tailored to their abilities, ensuring safety and effectiveness. I also offer modifications for those with limited mobility and emphasise the importance of physical activity for overall health and independence.

My approach fosters a supportive, engaging environment that motivates seniors to stay active, feel confident, and improve their quality of life. Ultimately, I aim to help them maintain their independence, reduce falls risk, and enjoy better wellbeing.

Key things I help seniors improve:

  • Balance and walking

  • Stamina

  • Muscular strength

  • Bone and joint health

  • Mobility and flexibility

  • Balance and coordination

Weekly Sessions Begin

“I have been attending weekly exercise sessions with Josh Pusey for the past six months. His exercise programmes are particularly designed for elderly or disabled clients. Our particular weekly sessions are usually attended by 5 clients. As a woman of 83, I really enjoy working with Josh and have benefited greatly with his help. Josh is a delightful man and an excellent instructor. He structures the session to our individual needs, including seated and standing exercises with an emphasis on stretching, deep breathing and balance. He also includes processes which encourage mental as well as physical agility. I can highly recommend Josh to anyone looking to improve their fitness . He is patient and charming, gentle but firm and makes his sessions varied and good fun. He is also highly experienced and very knowledgeable about how our bodies work and what we need to do to improve our fitness, taking into account our ages and abilities.”
